Gut Health Services
A whole‑system approach to digestive health, not just food
If you are living with ongoing digestive symptoms, you may already know that food is only part of the picture.
Digestive function is shaped by how safe and regulated your nervous system feels, how much stress your body is carrying, how your daily life supports or drains your physiology, and what is happening biologically inside the gut.
My work focuses on understanding and supporting all of these layers together, so nothing important is missed.
My approach: the Mind–Body–Biome Method
The Mind–Body–Biome Method is a structured, evidence‑based framework for understanding complex gut symptoms through four key systems:
1. The nervous system
How regulated or overloaded your system is, and how this affects digestion, sensitivity, pain, motility, and inflammation.
2. Stress and overall load
Emotional pressure, cognitive demands, life events, and long‑term strain that can quietly disrupt gut function and immune balance.
3. Lifestyle physiology
Sleep, circadian rhythm, workload, recovery, movement, and daily patterns that influence hormones, blood sugar, and digestive capacity.
4. Biological health
The microbiome, inflammation, immune activation, nutrient status, hormones, and digestive function assessed through clinical history and, where appropriate, functional testing.
Nutritional therapy gives me the clinical tools to work with each of these systems in a practical and personalised way.
Who this work is for
I support adults who experience symptoms such as:
IBS, bloating, reflux, constipation or diarrhoea
SIBO or suspected bacterial or yeast overgrowth
IBD alongside nutritional support
Food reactions or unpredictable digestion
Gut symptoms that worsen with stress or fatigue
Long‑standing symptoms that have not fully resolved with diet alone
Many clients come for nutrition‑focused guidance. Others want deeper clarity around why their symptoms persist. Both are welcome.
What working together looks like
Our work is always personalised and paced to feel manageable and realistic.
This may include:
A detailed health, symptom, and lifestyle assessment
Nutrition planning tailored to your digestion and energy needs
Support for nervous system regulation alongside dietary changes
Identifying key stressors and overload points affecting symptoms
Practical lifestyle adjustments that support digestion and recovery
Functional testing when appropriate to explore deeper biological drivers
You are never pushed into testing or intensive protocols. These are tools we consider together when they are likely to add clarity.
Functional testing (when helpful)
For some clients, symptoms persist despite thoughtful work on food, lifestyle, and stress.
In these cases, functional testing can provide valuable insight into areas such as:
Microbiome balance
Inflammation and gut barrier function
Digestive capacity
Hormone patterns
Immune activity
Nutrient status
Testing is always optional and guided by your history, symptoms, and goals.
Nervous‑system‑aware support
Digestive symptoms are often linked to how safe, pressured, or overloaded the body feels.
Alongside nutritional therapy, I work in a way that supports nervous system regulation, including:
Gentle pacing and realistic change
Awareness of how stress and emotional load influence symptoms
Practical strategies to support rest‑and‑digest function
Creating a calm, non‑judgemental space to explore health concerns
This foundation helps dietary and biological work land more effectively in the body.
What this approach offers
A clear understanding of what is driving your symptoms
Support that goes beyond food without losing clinical structure
A steady, compassionate process rather than quick fixes
Tools to improve both digestive function and long‑term resilience
