The Mind Body Biome™ Method
“An integrative method that seeks to understand your gut - by understanding you.”
The Mind Body Biome™ Method is an integrative approach to gut health that recognises symptoms do not develop in isolation.
Many people with long-standing digestive issues have already tried diets, supplements, and protocols with only partial or short-term relief. This is often because these approaches focus on the gut alone, without fully accounting for the wider systems that influence how it functions.
In my early work, I focused primarily on nutritional therapy and functional testing. While many clients improved, the most consistent and lasting changes came when I began looking more closely at how the body responds to ongoing stress, and the role of the nervous system in shaping digestive function.
Over time, it became clear that chronic gut symptoms are influenced not only by the microbiome and physiology, but by how the body adapts to everyday life. Your gut does not exist in isolation. How you respond to stress, how your system regulates, and the demands placed on your body all influence how you digest, absorb nutrients, and experience symptoms.
Understanding this wider picture allows nutrition and functional testing to be applied with greater precision. Instead of following a standardised approach, support can be tailored in a way that is more targeted, more supportive, and more sustainable over time.
Three Areas We Explore Together
The Mind Body Biome™ Method is built on three interconnected systems. Understanding how these interact allows us to identify what is driving your symptoms, not just where they show up.
The gut does not function in isolation. It is closely connected to your nervous system, hormonal system, and immune function. Because the gut and brain are in constant communication, how you respond to stress and emotion directly influences how your body functions, and how you digest, absorb nutrients, and experience symptoms.
Exploring these areas together allows nutrition and functional testing to be applied with greater precision, so support is targeted, appropriate, and sustainable.
This is not a standardised protocol. It is a structured way of understanding your symptoms from multiple angles, so we can identify what is driving them and apply the right support at the right time.
The Mind
Your stress response, emotional patterns, and nervous system state
The regulatory patterns that shape how your body responds.
The Body
Your hormones, immune system, metabolism, and overall physiological function
The wider physiological systems that shape how your body operates.
The Biome
Your microbiome, digestion, nutrient absorption, and gut function
The gut environment that shapes digestion and absorption.
How It Looks In Practice
The Mind Body Biome™ Method is not a programme and it’s not a set of rules. It is the integration of four approaches that shape how your symptoms are understood and your care is guided.
These are not separate sessions. They are the lenses through which your symptoms are explored, allowing your plan to be tailored in a way that is both precise and sustainable.
Because this work is fully personalised, the starting point looks different for each person. Some clients begin with nutrition, testing, and symptom-focused support. Others are already aware that stress, overload, or long-term pressure is influencing how their body is responding.
Either way, the same depth of care applies. I meet you where you are, while holding the wider picture in mind, so your plan can evolve based on what your body needs. For many people, this means allowing the body to settle first, rather than forcing change before your system is ready.
Nutritional Therapy
Personalised nutrition, functional medicine, and lifestyle guidance to identify triggers, support digestion, and restore balance to your body and microbiome.
Advanced Testing
Gut, blood, and hormone panels for deeper insight into what’s happening inside your body, helping reveal what needs targeted support.
Compassionate Inquiry
An integrative approach developed by Dr Gabor Maté that offers gentle emotional insight, supporting the body and nervous system.
Experience-Informed Care
A way of working that prioritises safety and connection, recognising how stress and past experiences shape how you feel and function today.
These four approaches are how the Mind Body Biome™ Method is applied in practice, shaping how your symptoms are understood and how your care is guided.

Meet Your Gut Health Expert
I’m Amanda, a Registered Nutritional Therapist and Compassionate Inquiry practitioner in training.
My work is grounded in the belief that symptoms only make sense when understood in the context of the whole person they belong to.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked with people whose symptoms are long-standing, often stress-responsive, and not fully resolved through standard approaches. This has shaped the way I practise, combining digestive health with nervous system awareness to understand why symptoms persist, not just how to manage them.
What I offer is not a protocol, but a way of working that is structured, responsive, and tailored to your body. I meet you where you are, and we move at a pace that allows change to land, rather than be forced.

My programmes are intentionally high-touch and long-form.
All clients begin with weekly 1:1 sessions. Support then continues across 3, 4 or 6 months, depending on the programme, with 7 to 15 hours of direct practitioner contact time alongside between-session support. This includes 8–14 follow-up calls plus an initial consultation, depending on programme length.Nervous system regulation is supported within every session, not as a separate add-on, and the frequency of contact is part of the treatment itself. This allows symptoms to be addressed as they arise, plans to be adjusted in real time, and change to be integrated safely rather than rushed.
This structure is designed for complex, stress-sensitive gut conditions, where short programmes or infrequent check-ins are often not enough.
This approach is particularly suited to people whose symptoms are long-standing, stress-responsive, or have not fully resolved through standard approaches.
If this feels familiar, you’re not missing something simple. Your body likely needs a more integrated and supported approach.
