Trust Your Gut Again
Living with bloating, SIBO, IBS, or ongoing gut discomfort can feel exhausting.
Constipation, reflux, diarrhoea, or food sensitivities may have you stuck in an endless cycle.
If you’re feeling confused, unsupported, and frustrated by quick fixes that only temporarily reduce bloating and reflux, or mask the symptoms of IBS, it’s easy to start believing nothing will work.
Lasting relief and trust in your gut is possible, but it requires:
* Clear insight into what’s driving your gut dysfunction
* The expertise and tools to restore and rebalance digestion
* A clear framework to navigate and implement real-life change
* Resolving the deeper root cause of your symptoms
It begins with understanding what’s happening beneath the surface.

Why Your Gut Symptoms Keep Coming Back
Improving chronic gut issues takes more than a restrictive diet, random supplements or medication.
The health of your microbiome and how well your digestion functions, together with the dietary, lifestyle and environmental factors that influence them, are fundamental to ongoing gut health.
The gut never works in isolation. It’s connected to every other system of the body, including the hormonal and nervous systems. Which means gut health not only influences, but is influenced by things like your energy, mood and sleep.
Because the brain and gut are so closely linked, body states, emotional stress and unconscious patterns often act as hidden drivers of ongoing gut problems.

A Different Way Forward - Mind, Body & Microbiome
As a gut health specialist, I explore all the factors that influence healthy digestion. My approach combines practical, science-based nutrition, Functional Medicine, and lifestyle strategies with mind–body support.
This is about caring for the whole self, so you can move beyond symptoms and create the conditions for true healing.
Nutritional Therapy – Using Naturopathic Medicine and personalised lifestyle & nutrition guidance to identify triggers, nourish your body, and restore balance to your microbiome.
Functional Testing – Comprehensive gut, SIBO, blood, and hormone testing provide deeper insight into what’s happening inside your body, helping to uncover underlying imbalances and complement targeted nutrition and lifestyle support.
Compassionate Inquiry – A therapeutic approach with practices to help regulate the nervous system while gently uncovering and releasing the unconscious patterns and emotions that shape your health.
True Healing with Gut Health Nutritionist Support
Hi, I’m Amanda
I’m a London-based Registered Gut Health Nutritionist and Nutritional Therapist (BANT, CNHC) specialising in the microbiome and the gut–brain connection.
I run a 1:1 online clinic supporting people with ongoing gut issues like bloating, reflux, SIBO, IBS and constipation.
Together, we take a structured, evidence-based approach, looking at diet, digestion, microbial balance, and lifestyle to uncover what’s really driving their symptoms. This often includes stressors, triggers, and ingrained patterns that lie at the root of their gut issues.
From there, we identify the key areas that need support and create a personalised plan using targeted nutrition, functional testing, and practical daily strategies to restore balance, build long-term resilience and optimise overall health.
My role is to make the path forward simple and manageable, with expert guidance that fits into real life, while also providing the space for them to explore their hidden emotions and release tension held in the body.
Clients often tell me it’s the first time they feel truly heard and understood.
That’s when the body feels safe, the nervous system relaxes, and the gut can finally begin to heal.

Q1: What’s the difference between a gut health dietician (dietitian) and a gut health nutritionist?
A: Many people search for a “gut health dietician / dietitian” or “gut health nutritionist” when looking for support with digestive issues like IBS, bloating or reflux. In the UK, “dietitian” is a legally protected title, while “nutritionist” and “nutritional therapist” are also regulated through professional bodies. Dietitians typically work within medical settings, focusing on clinical testing, diagnosis, and medical nutrition interventions. A gut health nutritionist or digestive health nutritionist often takes a more holistic approach, using personalised nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle medicine to support long-term gut health. I am a registered Nutritionist and Nutritional Therapist (BANT, CNHC), and my approach combines personalised nutrition therapy, lifestyle support and functional testing to address the root causes of gut-related issues.
Q2: What is a gut health nutritionist, and how can they help with IBS, SIBO, bloating or reflux?
A: A gut health nutritionist is a registered professional specialising in digestive health. They support people with IBS, SIBO, bloating, reflux and other digestive issues by identifying food triggers, improving digestion and restoring microbiome balance. As a qualified digestive health nutritionist, they have access to science-based strategies and functional gut testing which allows them to uncover root causes and create the conditions to reduce flare-ups and discomfort. A good gut health specialist offers more than just a meal plan - they take time to understand your history and lifestyle, and treat you as a whole person rather than just test results. This personalised, human approach, combined with ongoing support, is what makes long-term results possible. And because IBS, bloating and reflux often involve the gut–brain connection, in my work as a nutritionist specialising in gut health, I also address stress, nervous system balance and emotional health.
Q3: Why is it good to work with a nutritionist specialising in gut health compared to, or alongside, my GP?
A: Your GP is invaluable, but they usually only have a few minutes to focus on managing your symptoms or ruling out serious medical issues. A gut health nutritionist or digestive health nutritionist has the time to look deeper, exploring your history, lifestyle, diet and stress patterns to understand what’s driving problems like IBS, bloating, reflux or SIBO. While a GP may focus on diagnosis and medication, a gut health specialist nutritionist offers personalised, holistic support that addresses the root causes. The two approaches work best together: medical care ensures safety and oversight, while nutrition therapy provides the time and depth needed for long-term digestive health.
Q4: Can I manage IBS, bloating or reflux on my own, or do I need a gut health nutritionist?
A: While some people try to manage IBS, SIBO, bloating or reflux on their own by changing diet or using supplements, results are often short-term or inconsistent. A gut health nutritionist (or nutritionist specialising in gut health) brings expertise in identifying root causes, using science-based strategies, and applying functional testing when needed. More importantly, they provide a personalised plan and ongoing support that takes into account your history, lifestyle, stress patterns, and ongoing changes - something a “DIY” approach often misses. Working with a qualified gut health nutritionist means addressing not only diet, but also microbiome balance, and, when combined with compassionate inquiry, the gut–brain connection and nervous system support. This kind of guidance helps turn trial-and-error symptom chasing into long-term relief and lasting gut health.
